Stone Threshing Floor

The ancient stone threshing floor, where grain was skillfully separated from chaff, is set in a panoramic and commanding position, slightly apart from the main nucleus of the Masseria.

The view from here, overlooking the sea and the surrounding landscape, makes it a particularly evocative setting for celebrations and presentations.

Historic Olive Press

The olive mill, built in 1846 and in operation until the 1960s, still preserves its original features. It houses three types of presses: wooden ones known as mammarelle, cast-iron presses, and steel presses operated by a manual hydraulic pump.

At the back of the central hall stands the characteristic stone basin with three stone millstones, once powered by the traction of a horse or a donkey. It has been perfectly preserved, with the original manufacturer’s label still visible.

The olive mill can accommodate between 120 and 140 seated guests. Adjacent to the mill, there is a space designated as a catering kitchen.

The Citrus Grove

The citrus grove, enclosed by high surrounding walls, measures approximately 50 by 50 meters and features a wide variety of fruit trees: lemon, orange, vanilla orange, mandarin, grapefruit, citron, bergamot, Spanish lime, apricot, pear, persimmon, quince, rowan, loquat, mulberry, and fig trees.

At the center of the citrus grove runs a pathway whose entrances are adorned with grapevine pergolas. The irrigation of this distinctive garden is ensured by a large cistern designed for the collection of rainwater.

The citrus grove lends itself as an ideal setting for cocktails and intimate receptions.

The Main Courtyard

The main courtyard was the heart of life at the Masseria. Here, people and animals crossed paths as they carried out their daily tasks. It was a place of connection, linking all the other activities and functions of the estate.

Today, the main courtyard offers a spacious enclosed open-air setting, ideal for hosting a variety of events, with the added convenience of the catering kitchen located next to the olive mill.

Millenary Olive Grove

The millenary olive grove, said to include trees planted by veterans of the Punic Wars more than 2,000 years ago, has remained in its original planting layout, without any alteration or densification. It extends over approximately 35 hectares across the municipalities of Cisternino and Fasano.

Located in a beautiful foothill setting, it is an ideal destination for pleasant walks and cycling excursions, offering exceptional views over the Plain of Olive Trees and the coastline. The predominant olive varieties are Ogliarola and Leccina, which produce excellent extra virgin olive oil.

Ecco la traduzione in inglese, con tono evocativo ed elegante:The outdoor spaces, and especially the millenary olive grove, offer virtually unlimited capacity and enchanting bucolic scenery, particularly at dusk.
